Resurfacing of various roads around Bellville

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate would like to advise residents, road users and businesses in Oakglen, Blomtuin, Chrismar, De La Haye, Stikland Industria, Loumar, Labiance and Bellville South of roadworks along various roads listed below. The roadworks will continue until Thursday, 22 May 2025 and take place between 07:30 and 17:30, Monday to Friday, weather permitting and provided there are no unforeseen delays.

Below is the list of the various roads the City is working on:

Oakglen: Along Fir Road, De Hoop Avenue, Redwood Street, La Cotte Street, Bourgogne Street, Spolander Street, Feldhausen Avenue, Redwood Street, Libertas Close, Poplar Street, Chestnut Street, Silvertree Street, Cherry Street, Blackwood Street and Walnut Street.

Blomtuin: Along Blom Street, Ridderspoor Street, Birch Street, Aandblom Street, Koraalboom Street and Cedar Street.

Chrismar: Along Feinauer Street.

De La Haye: Along De La Haye Avenue.

Stikland Industria: Along Willow Road and Kariga Street.

Loumar: Along Loumar Road, Herta Louw Street, Brunhilde Road, Keast Street, Ford Street and Francis Road.

Labiance: Along Colonel Creswell Avenue, Moerdyk Street, Alliance Street, Sangiro Street and Steinberg Street.

Bellville South: Along Durham Street, Industrie Road, Osbourne Street, Nerina Street and Jool Street.

‘I would like to thank residents and road users in the affected areas for their patience. All the night work has been completed for this specific project and the outstanding work is being done during daytime working hours. We are also installing and repairing kerbs, manholes, channels and pruning trees, where applicable. All road markings will be reinstated with new retro-reflective road marking paint. This routine maintenance work improves the experience for road users and helps us to keep Cape Town moving,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
